Rachel Dale has studied film since 2003 but been fascinated by movies throughout her life. The first film she saw was Singin' in the Rain at the advanced age of nine months; Gene Kelly remains one of her all-time idols. Her favorite directors include Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Donen, Jean Renoir, and Howard Hawks (though she's been known to indulge in fluffy movies on more than one occasion!)

A native of Chicago, IL, she is currently pursuing graduate work in Film Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, languages, and running with her dog Lucie.

She is a regular contributor to Lucy's Luxury Adventures.
